28th MAY // DAZED & CONFUSED X DIESEL U MUSIC RADIO
Today I guested alongside Tim Noakes and Johanna Lacey in hosting the Dazed & Confused radio show on Diesel U Music Radio in deepest Dalston. Tim had hooked up an awesome Zombies Vs Gangsta Rappers mix and we basically got drunk and chatted ridiculous biz over the top for two hours. Was jokes. Zombies won. And you can hear how here on the z-share.

30th APRIL // TINHO X WILL BARRAS & CALMA X KID ACNE PRINTS
As part of A Força Da Rua, I got to hook up some of my favourite artists - Tinho and Calma from Sao Paulo with the UK's Will Barras and Kid Acne respectively. We have two limited edition A2 giclee prints available for only £50 a pop. Exclusivo.
29th APRIL // A FORÇA DA RUA AUCTION PARTY @ THE CUCKOO CLUB
The A Força Da Rua project comes to a finale with an awesome auction event at the Cuckoo Club. Our crew supported in force. Inkie, Will Barras, Kid Acne, Pure Evil and Remi/Rough joined Lorna Lavelle and The Action for Brazil's Children Trust founder Jimena Page on the night to party with way too many Cachaça cocktails, Lovefoxxx, Patchwork Pirates and PPQ - who DJed the party. We made an amazing £40,000 for the charity. Art slump? Recession? Whatevs.
A MASSSSSIIIIIIVE thanks to all the artists who donated their customised Gibsons. We're doin' it for the kids.
As always, bad gal photos by Pixie Felton. More here and here.
25th APRIL // THUGS & HUGS X DANTE FRIED CHICKEN SPEAK EASY DINNER & PARTY
Like whoa. A-mazing. Hahaha. Already a legendary party, not least because me and Dante cooked 80 meals out of my kitchen (plus dessert) then packed and stickered up individual DFC X THUGS dinner boxes (big thanks to Pixie, Maya and Vikki) and carted everything down to The Legion where the big homies Subtitle & Busdriver provided musical hilarities. If you weren't there. Well... Those who did manage to grab themseleves a table at the DFC Speakeasy... It was the power dinner. Just Sayin. Til next time, suckers.
This short documentary was directed by Lorna Lavelle and produced by myself Terence Teh. All shot on location in Sao Paulo and London in February 09. Full info here. A massive thanks to... Aliana, Andrew and Roberta ABC Trust, Dazed & Confused, Choque Cultural’s Baixo Ribeiro, Mariana Ribeiro & Eduardo Saretta, William Baglione, Duda Porto de Souza, Tocha Idéia Forte, Guilherme Pinheiro, N.A.S.A., Anthony Dickenson, Ink Death, Jana Novosadova and all the artists involved.
22nd APRIL // A FORÇA DA RUA EXHIBITION LAUNCH
The A Força da Rua project brought together 12 of the world's most celebrated street artists from Brazil and the UK in aid of helping Brazil's street kids on behalf of The Action For Brazil's Children Trust, an arts and culture charity founded by Jimmy (Led Zepp) and Jimena Page. With Dazed & Confused as media partners and Gibson Guitars as main sponsors - Calma, Titi Freak, Daniel Melim, Tinho, Ramon Martins and Speto from Sao Paulo and Kid Acne, Inkie, Remi/Rough, Will Barras, Pure Evil and D*Face from the UK customised Gibsons with Lovefoxxx from CSS coming on as an exclusive additional artist.
The exhibition featured these guitars as well as a supporting roster of artist prints from the likes of KARBORN, Hush, Flip, Sesper, Presto and Carlos Diaz. I co-curated the project and produced the accompanying short documentary directed by Lorna Lavelle - which was what we were doing back in February in Sao Paulo.

Thugs & Hugs started two years ago because we (Terence Teh / Tom McCarthy / Alex Stevenson - Patchwork Pirates) felt there wasn't a party in London supporting the rather kick ass music we liked. So we did and it was done. 2nd Birthday this Saturday with homies Fulgeance from France (Musique Large / One Handed Music / Ramp) and Hovatron from Montreal (TurboCrunk / ManyBrain). Gots to shout all the good friends and cohorts who have come through over the last couple of years... love it.

To celebrate the new Nike Shoreditch 1948 Space, Nike together with 'Sup have produced a mag entitled 1948. With an east London gallery guide, a Run Dem Crew story, a head 2 head with Dizzee Rascal and Ben Drury, as well as profiles on east London creatives including Carri Cassetteplaya, Kate Moross, Elle Azhdari AND myself and Will Protein - following the Beautiful Losers Make Something workshops we did at the space. Big thanks to Acyde and Josh Sup. Though they did edit out my closing quote and words to live by: Beauty is in the eye of the Tiger.
28th FEB // URB MAGAZINE X DAMON ALBARN & JAMIE HEWLETT

They would be Foals' Yannis, stylist Thom Murphy, music video director Kinga Burza, author Richard Milward and FWD>>/Tempa/Rinse's Sarah Lockhart. Plus the new Levi's X Dazed campaign and my interview with Levi's artist Jay Jay Burridge. - Terence.
22nd FEB // THUGS 5AM INTIMATE FRONT ROOM HYPHY DANCE JAM // SUPER SIC WID IT!
21st FEB // THUGS & HUGS @ THE LEGION // LAZER SWORD & NEW LOOK & PATCHWORK PIRATES
Almost a year after we closed our Legion Thugs parties with the greatest 4 deck mash up massacre from Team Canada DJs (people swam home in sweat), Thugs returned to a re-tweaked venue. Opening with proper London debuts from San Fransico's Lazer Sword, DJ Dials and Brooklyn's New Look, we brought it. Hard. Survival of the fittest vs lazzzzerrrr bassss. Pics by Pixie.
21st JAN // STAF MAGAZINE X REMI/ROUGH
Got to have muchos amore para mis homies Juan y Manolo in Malaga from the awesome Spanish Staf magazine. Best mag in Spain. Standard. We first met in Korea at the R16 festival... more of which later. Trashed hotel rooms, Korean BBQ and hip hop. Homies para la vida. For the newest Feb issue of Staf (last month's cover feat was the legend that is Tommy Guerrero, this month's is Tobin Yelland and Angela Boatwright - their choices say it all really, perfecto) I interviewed the UK's number one Agent of Change, Remi/Rough. Pics by Pixie Felton.
Below are some of the photo diary pics including me, Joy and Nic from the R16 Korea fest which were published last year.. Adam Yauch cover.
21st JAN // DAZED & CONFUSED FEB ISSUE
Bat for Lashes. New psychedelic themed issue for Feb from the good peoples at Dazed. Peep my Alessi's Ark piece (the teenage psyche-folk sensation) amongst The Boredoms, EPMD, Beautiful Losers and Darren Aronofsky. Coincidently we're (Patchwork Pirates) playing alongside Alessi and VV Brown at the next Time Out On The Up party at the Camden Barfly on 6th Feb. You should go.
New issue of XLR8R is out now with a Mr Oizo cover feature and more on our Montreal homies Turbo Crunk, Rustie gets a look in too. And then comes my good friend and cohort KARBORN, aka the artist formerly known as John Leigh - we've been working together for a while and writing this feature was the perfect collabo - I also set up his first solo exhibition back during Sonar festival, we did the art at Big Chill (APEX CREW!) and continue to support. Trust The KDU. 2009 KARBORN is all about the upcoming Grok exhibition in Feb in Soho, the Dreweatts music x art auction and the Platonic project... soon come.
First bits. Feck. They dun did it again. First post of the new year and I'm glad to say it's with my LuckyMe and BPM mag FAM. Scotland x LDN x LA. Who's the luckiest? Three page feature I wrote last year with big helps from my brothers/sisters up north - DOM! ENJOY THE MOTHERLAND! Just published in BPM's Jan issue. OUT NOW on some Jim Lee X-Men multiple cover steez. Last year we did A LOT and was just the start. 09 will be serious.
New issue of FACT out now. Features the Andy Warhol Hayward exhibition as well as feats on our Philly bredren Starkey (check Starkbot's heavyweight Planet Mu record "Ephemeral Exhibits") and my interviews with Brooklyn's psych-pop savants Chairlift and LDN's la discobella Chesca. Make sure you see her play with Jamie Vex'd at Jan's Ballers Social Club in Glasgow.
20th DECEMBER // DAZED & CONFUSED TEENAGE TAKEOVER ISSUE
New Dazed out now. The Teenage Takeover issue - what does it mean to be a British teenager today? Featuring a wealth of UK young talent alongside Leo Fitzpatrick, Heidi Slimane, Rye Rye and Gonzo. I talk to Kai from Berlin interview magazine mono.kultur. a q&a zine that I urge you all to hunt down. Then there's TEED (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs) the prehistoric electro production/performance troupe, which I'm glad to say is more than a just a crap name.
New issue of the NYC-based Theme Magazine is out now. The Eureka! issue features the inventor of the absurd, Kenji Kawakami through to the artist Liu Ye, whose work fetched $1.5 million at Sotheby's in New York last year. You can also peep my feature with the London-based illustrator Yehrin Tong and her op-art magic.
11th DECEMBER // DANTE FRIED CHICKEN @ MUTATE BRITAIN, CORDY HOUSE
Together with Protein, we powered DFC UK and brought big homie Dante back to London with the premiere screening of The Dante Fried Chicken Show (advance peaks of the Santogold and Yo Majesty episodes) as part of the massive Mutate Britain art series. Big Thanks to Garfield for inviting us into Cordy for the second time this year. Patchwork Pirates, Stockholm's Marcus Pride and disco bella Chesca caught music whilst everybody else bugged out on the crazy DFC menu. Keep March free for future DFC UK events.

In the meantime check perspective MySpaces or come down to Cargo for their Free Fridays parties. Get down before 10pm as last week's was a roadbloack, like real roadblock, not post event promoter blog/lie roadblock. - T

18th OCTOBER // BEAUTIFUL LOSERS // LONDON FILM FESTIVAL
New issue of Dazed & Confused out today. Peep the incredible Chris Cunningham / Grace Jones cover. Main feats include Gang Gang Dance, Vivian Girls, Sam Griffin and Ed Templeton. I interviewed new school hip hop, nerdcore with a swagger star Kenan Bell. A good un.
This is for Hella Tim from SF and Pablo. Stay up homies. There was a time spent in So Cal when hip hop was cassette tapes, the Bay Area, skateboarding and Ole English 40s. Throwback interview with Eligh from underground hip hop kings, Living Legends. Eligh,Murs,Grouch,Aesop,Scarub,Bicasso,Sunspot and Luckyiam. If ya know? Well, you're probably in the minority. And that's all good. Shouts to you too.
I dug out a ton of my old 3 Melancholy Gypsies and Penguins tapes. Do you have fond memories of those days of four track hustling? I have a lot of fond memories of those days. I was young, free and high. Making music was so much fun with my boys. In particular 3MGs and Penguins with Murs and Scarub because we started rapping together. Also, it was a hard time. We were broke and lived in a rats nest!
There was time when all of the Legends lived and worked out of the same spot. It was insane. Crazy, fun and hellish. Dirty, lots of weed, lots of fights. I’m probably the only one who didn’t fight with someone else in the house. Lots of music always played and lots of music being made.
Apart from the rest of the Legends – who of your peers is doing hip hop how you would want hip hop to be done? I was just talking with Grouch about this and it was hard for me to think of anyone in hip hop who’s doing it for me lately. And it makes me sad. Just being honest but The Roots new album was tight to me, I’m waiting for Outkast’s next album. I like a few producers out there right now like edIT of The Glitch Mob and Flying Lotus. I’ve been listening to non hip hop a lot more nowadays. Someone make some shit please.
The wonderful XLR8R release their annual city issue, and this year the spotlight falls on Brewtopia, the city of weird, the DIY tribe of Portland. Under the awesome cover by Audio Dregs' E*Rock you'll find music feats on Yacht, Ohmega Watts, Fist Fite, Portland's groundbreaking video art scene, a Portland city guide from editor and T&B-er Vivian Host and my interview with the gorgeous heartstring-breaking and magical-woods illustrator Carson Ellis - much loved for her Decemberists covers, books and childrens illustrations.
Kill or be Killed FallLR Man of Faith Vs Man of Science
Good friend Remi/Rough has a heavyweight new exhibition opening this Friday, 26th September up in Aberdeen at Peacock Visual Arts - Coded Language. His new collection is all large scale paintings and I think it's some of his best work to date. You need to see them in the flesh. Hopefully Remi will be bringing the show back to London. All that's needed to say, really. And that next year he celebrates 25 years of graffiti progression and if you missed it, in August he was invited to speak at the Tate Modern on the history of UK graffiti for their Street Art Series alongside Blek Le Rat. U dun know. The catalogue for Coded Language is a 16 page A4 piece of art, with all 10 paintings and three gallery exclusive prints. Get one before they start crashing eBay. Features a foreword written by the Tate Modern's Cedar Lewisohn and a Remi/Rough bio written by me, Terence Teh. Available from the show or Agents of Change site soon. All City, All Global.
25th SEPTEMBER // WOUND MAGAZINE // DRAGONS OF ZYNTH
New issue of WOUND MAGAZINE is out today. The luxury arts, fashion, music, architecture and photography mag weighs in at over 400 pages, super high-spec, super glossy, lots of insight and heavy paper weight. My feature on NYC creative behemoths Dragons Of Zynth was picked up and features in this month's issue. The Dragons' Aku and Akwetey talk candidly about Sitek, Bowie and The Age Of Stone. Fuck the credit crunch, swap your ramen money for luxury arts mags. Big thanks to Lucy Brice and Erik Stein.
12th SEPTEMBER // BPM OCTOBER ISSUE // SURFACE 2 AIR PARIS
Hype beast mags are over, it all died a couple of years ago, just before the blog explosion, when the crappy wannabe free mags flooded London. The great stay standing. In related thoughts - love how LA's BPM mag has their heritage locked, and the past few issues have really taken interesting/exciting/surprising editorial direction & design. Just check the new issue. Surface 2 Air Paris. Seven page cover feature. What more can I say. I was honnoured to write the piece, and honnoured to drop some elaborate flirting in the contribs section. S2A are inspired. Big thanks to BPM's Rob Simas. He is legend. Download full feature. Read full magazine.
11th SEPTEMBER // DAZED & CONFUSED OCTOBER ISSUE
New Dazed issue is out today with a dark Nick Knight cover. Hidden amongst the Gareth Pugh vs Nick Knight feature, Wizard Rock, Chairlift and David Simon (The Wire) stories, I wrote a label piece on A-Trak, Catchdubs and Dust La Rock's Fools Gold and the mag also features pics from our Off Sonar party - the MASSIVO Dazed V Thugs V Plat Du Jour V LuckyMe V Dress 2 Sweat sweat shop, which coincidently was voted Best Party At Sonar by the folks at DJ Mag. We should have got them involved in the Russian drug table. Now that's what guestlists are for.
October issue of URB magazine is available now. Entitled the POWER issue, cover features include Jay-Z, Obama and Busy P. I got a page feature on the Korean B-Boy crew Gamblerz (who won the invitational R16 Championships in Seoul this year) and their worldwide dominance since 2003. Big shouts to the awesome Jason Lewis (waddup bro!) who did the pics.
It's safe to say there is not another young artist working in London who makes art and jewellery like Daisuke Sakaguchi. The Central Saint Martins graduate has worked with Nike, Adidas, Philip Treacy and been commissioned to make bespoke pieces for Kelis, David Beckham and Elton John and was recently featured in Estelle and Kanye's video for 'American Boy'. Stocked at Dover St. Market and Side By Side in Tokyo, Daisuke recently unveiled his new portfolio. Watch out for the greatness. A good friend, we worked together on his included biography.
I was commissioned to write this year's official Bestival programme. So for all those out partying on the Isle Of Wight this weekend, enjoy! This year's line up is A LOT (from My Bloody Valentine to South Rakkas Crew to Soko). Here's to next year. Glass clink ice.

Expect an online version to go live soon."
Affiliates-Studios and Dazed & Confused threw down the annual Thugs & Hugs Notting Hill Carnival party. It was messy. Fun messy. Dante from Dante Fried Chicken NYC brought it in the way that Harlem does. His exclusive Thugs menu of Sock-It-To-Me chicken & tofu, drunk Spanish rice & peas, red pepper potato salad and coconut & banana grits was ridiculous. Dante is a phenom. He brought over Rye Rye and Leif. The UK needed to rep and of course we did with real talk. Our brothers Dom and Martyn LuckyMe dropped by fully loaded with new tees, swaggerlicious smiles and beastly BEATS. We brought Patchwork Pirates, Sir Gigolo MHI and Questrel. Carnival brought the pain. Hugs for Jo Dazed, Joe Roberts, Peggy NYC-LDN, Mark More About Music, Esther, Nic, Sarah, Franky, Daisuke, Danna & Anna for the love, James chipFactory for the menu design and Dante and Johnny DFC. All pics by Pixie Felton.
22nd AUGUST // V&A FASHION V SPORT // SECRET WARS
This Friday we're DJing (Patchwork Pirates) at the private view / afterparty thang in conjunction with the new V&A exhibition FASHION V SPORT at the Secret Wars event on Exhibition Road. Affiliates-Studios sorted the sound. We used to play the original Secret Wars and Monorex stuff WAY back in the day - so it's dope to come back to it all. If you ever saw the Current.TV short doc. on Secret Wars - we did the music...
Extra note: Big shouts to our homie KISH who is getting a ton of love at the moment - the V&A used some of his sneaker collection in the V&A exhibition, the TIMES interviewed him (broadsheet biz) and the Footlocker ad campaign is awesome.
14th AUGUST // NATURE'S CONCRETE LONDON OPENING PARTY WITH EXCLUSIVE LIVE SET FROM MOFOMATRONIX (MONTREAL / TURBO CRUNK)
After launching KARBORN'S debut solo exhibition Nature's Concrete in Barcelona during Sonar Festival 2008, then taking it to the Big Chill festival we present the London opening this Thursday, 14th August at ArtKandy Gallery (top of Brick Lane / E2 7DG). The opening party features an exclusive live set (London debut) from Montreal's MOFOMATRONIX duo - residents (alongside Megasoid, Bling Mod and Lunice) of the city's hottest twisted bassbin party, TURBO CRUNK. Head to TrashMenagerie.com for an interview I did with the Mofos, inc. downloads of their banging Purple City mixtape and, in my opinion, their best refix to date of Nas' Made You Look.
1st AUGUST- 3rd AUGUST // INKIE, XENZ, KARBORN & CUTUPCOLLECTIVE - LIVE ART WALL @ BIG CHILL
affiliates-studios pres. Live Art Wall @ The Big Chill Festival, Eastnor Castle. Curated & organised by Terence Teh & Joe Roberts. Friday was Elementals - visionary old school Bristolian graffiti royalty Xenz & Inkie. Saturday was the awesome digital Nature's Concrete of KARBORN and Sunday was themed Leave No Trace, billboard re-appropriation / disruption by east London's infamous CutUp Collective. All pics by Pixie Felton.

All pics by Pixie Felton. Biggest crowd of the weekend. El naturalment. The Boosh. Is it all over now?
1st AUGUST - 3rd AUGUST // LYKKE LI @ BIG CHILL
All pics by Pixie Felton. Lykke Li would be mainstream pop music if the world was a fairer place.
1st AUGUST - 3rd AUGUST // BIG CHILL FESTIVAL
Wednesday through to Monday at the Big Chill Festival. Bear Gryllz can't touch our survival skills. We were asked to curate, organise (and build) the live art walls for this year's festival. Three 8ft x 24ft walls was the initial plan... We invited four visionary artists that fit the Big Chill ethos (Leave No Trace / recyc. / nature). Xenz, Inkie, KARBORN and The CutUp Collective smashed it. Art and artist pics to follow. Big thanks to the whole APEX crew and all the artists involved who made this happen. 19th JULY // CAMP BESTIVAL PROGRAMME
CAMP BESTIVAL, the intimate 10,000 cpp. festival from Rob and Josie Da Bank (BESTIVAL's little cuz) is on this weekend - with headliners Kate Nash, Chuck Berry and The Flaming Lips playing alongside 150 other DJs, artists, authors, comedians and general smiley Bestival-y characters. For the last two years Bestival has been a highlight of my summer and so I was more than happy to write the Camp Bestival programme for this, their debut year. I did a yearbook-style publication - Name, Occupation, Best Known For, Least Likely to - for all artists involved. Available right this min, for all CB goers. Enjoy.

It's freakin good - will be uploaded soon with tracklisting.
14th JULY // LE COOL: A WEIRD AND WONDERFUL GUIDE TO LONDON
Following the success of le cool's Barcelona Changed My Life travel book ("one of the best travel guides in the world" The Independent / "the guidebook for people who hate guidebooks" The Guardian / "the guidebook for the been-there done-that set" New York Times) the good people at le cool have just published the London edition: le cool - A Weird and Wonderful Guide to London. As the title suggests (and similar to their weekly web mailouts) the book reads like your best mate telling you of London's hidden treats and charms in a diary / mag / fanzine style.
I wrote some choice features including "How to do Stoke Newington on the Cheap", "Upset The Rhythm's Top 5 Underground DIY Venues" and an interview with Paul Jones, owner of my favourite gallery in London, The Elms Lesters Painting Rooms. I also spoke to my good friend Remi/Rough about two iconic London graffiti spots - Remi then illustrated and hand wrote his quotes over the top for the/le book. top billin'. Thanks to Chloe, Tom and Mat le cool.
RRP: £15.99 // available Borders, Amazon, Magma and your fave independent book stores soon.
10th JULY // DAZED & CONFUSED & THUGS & HUGS & PLAT DU JOUR SONAR PARTY
we sorted this EPIC sonar party at club Mondo with dazed, thugs & hugs and plat du jour. Jackmaster, Hudson Mohawke and Rustie played three back-to-back sets. LuckyMe linchpin Dom Sum hosted. Yo Majesty even jumped up and freestyled over a couple of Rusko's cockney bangers. One of the best parties sonar had this year. A few people told us that. ONE HOT MESS. BLOG HEATERS. We had LuckyMe's The Blessings, Thugs & Hugs's Patchwork Pirates, Dub Terror and Drums of Death DJing at KARBORN's debut solo show (!) Nature's Concrete at Holala Art Plaza Gallery in Barcelona. Free Jaeger and Tiger Beer and art. Photos by my man Erkan Said.
